API integration

Any system that can make an HTTPS call.

The public REST API sends messages, manages contacts, launches campaigns, enrols journeys and posts conversions and events, with scoped keys, idempotency and a reference generated from the live spec.

How Your own system, over the REST API connects

In order. A person on our side does this with you during onboarding if you prefer.

  • Messages: template, session, media, one-tap OTP
  • Contacts, tags, attributes, segments
  • Campaign launch, journey enrolment, events, conversions
  • Eleven signed webhook events with a delivery debugger
  1. 1

    Read the reference

The public API reference is rendered from the live OpenAPI spec and needs no login. Import the spec into Postman or your client generator.

  2. 2

    Create a scoped key

In Settings, choose API keys, and create a key with only the scopes the integration needs, a rate limit, and an IP allowlist if the caller has a fixed address.

  3. 3

    Build in test mode

A test-mode key accepts every request and returns realistic responses without sending anything to Meta.

  4. 4

    Send with an idempotency key

Every write accepts an Idempotency-Key header, so a retried request never sends a message twice.

  5. 5

    Subscribe webhooks

Register an HTTPS endpoint for the events you need; each delivery is signed, retried with backoff, and logged with a one-click redeliver.

Shopify or WooCommerce

There is no native connector yet. A small server-side hook on order events calls the messages endpoint for shipping updates and posts conversions so campaign revenue is attributed. Zapier or Make cover it without code.

A hospital information system

Appointment created posts an event that starts the reminder journey; report ready sends a document template; a booking form's live slots come from the system through the form data endpoint.

Questions

Is there an SDK?

Not yet. The API is plain REST with JSON, one error envelope and cursor pagination, and the OpenAPI spec generates a typed client in most languages.

How are errors reported?

Every response uses the same envelope with a success flag, an error code and a human message, and rate-limit headers on every call.

Other integrations

Built on the developer platform. See pricing: integrations are included, not add-ons.

Talk to us.

In a forty-minute call we go through what you send today, what it costs you, and what a flagged number would cost you. Then we set up a workspace on your own Meta app and build the first campaign with you.
